About studying the feasibility and impact of Basic Income (citizens wage) in Estonia | 25.11.2016 - 31.01.2019, an initiative collecting support signatures in citizens initative portal rahvaalgatus.ee . It suggests a national study about whather the Basic Income is possible at all in Estonia. The study would contain also some tests. The initiative shoulc collect at least 1000 signatures It collected 1014 digital signatures + dozens on paper form.

citizens wage | a popular term meaning unconditional basic income. In Estonia, it is the first and most popular term when speaking about UBI. The critics suggest that "kodanikupalk" as term is confusing as palk (wage) means money for job and "kodaniku-" (citizen) would mean the UBI is targeted only for citizens (not for all legal inhabitants). As an alternative, "popular stipendium" is proposed.
